Biography
Attorney Richard Rodriguez created and is the owner of The Law Office of Richard Rodriguez located in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Attorney Rodriguez’ career in the law began as a Judicial Intern to Supreme Court Justice Daniel Lewis. A graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a major in Criminal Justice, he also graduated from Massachusetts School of Law and was admitted to the bar in Massachusetts. In law school Attorney Rodriguez served as a legal intern with the Merrimack Valley Legal Services. He was also one of eight law students awarded to do a competitive legal fellowship with the Massachusetts Bar Association.
Attorney Rodriguez worked for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Unemployment Assistant Program. From 2002 to 2006 Attorney Rodriguez was employed by the Lawrence Police Department as the Program Director of a federal grant from the United States Department of Justice. Attorney Rodriguez also worked as a Community Worker with Covenant House from 1995 to 1998. For five years Attorney Rodriguez was a paralegal with the Legal Aid Society Criminal Defense Division. As an adjunct Professor at Cambridge College Attorney Rodriguez taught the following courses: Introduction to Juvenile Delinquency; Investigating Child Abuse and Neglect; Massachusetts Juvenile Justice; and Substance Abuse and the Law.
